Progress!

It has been a wonderful day! God has granted us peace that truly passes all understanding! The weather is beautiful here in Dallas. Brent and I have walked for hours around the park and city streets.

Nurse Michael has called twice to update us. Those updates have been so helpful in helping the day to pass. The wait doesn’t seem nearly as long when our goals are just a couple hours at a time till the next update.

This is one of my favorite pictures from this morning. The sweet lady on the right is the child life specialist, Mrs. Andrea. She is who made Alex’s very special backward foot doll. The amazing lady on the left is the wonderful, Dr. Johnson. I may have said it before but we think she is pretty awesome! Notice her cap that she chose for today especially for Alex!! She is one of the many you are all praying for today and we are thankful!

This lady is the anesthesiologists, Dr. Jean. she is caring for our girl all day today! Nurse Michael called again and said everything is going well. The leg is mostly reconnected backward and they are working on the micro vascular work. I hope the next update will say she is done.
