Infusion day, again!

Second, and hopefully last infusion she will need.

With the special blanket Aunt Marie made for her Alex bravely faced another infusion day. On the way to the doctor she talked all about what was going to happen and where she would ask them to place the IV and how brave she was going to be. She certainly was brave as ever.

Her buddy, Mr. Michael was the nurse who placed her Iv today and ran her infusion. It was fun for me to sit and listen to the two of them chatter about birthday parties since they shared a birthday in August. She always calls him her birthday buddy. He always does a great job with sticks and she says, “he is the best blood drawer”. He really is a blessing for the kids who come into that office.

We met with the doctor and talked about Alexs upcoming surgery and planned when to schedule her last pre surgery MRI.

After all of her appointments it was special great time. Her now favorite Vandy day treat is lunch at Suzies in the cafeteria. She stood and picked her treats and requested an orange cranberry salad, grapes and cheese, and of course a brownie. The gentlemen working the counter laughed and said, “well, she has quite the mature pallet”! 😄 You should have seen his face when next she asked for a Chai Latte! 😄😂 He laughed and asked if it was for her and she said Yes sir! This is the meal she requests every appointment.

Thankfully she is still doing really well. She has spent the afternoon playing as normal, with only a little bit of tired. She has gone to sleep and hopefully she will avoid the sickness she had after her first infusion.
