Cast change day!

Alex is excited to be at cast change and stitch removal day!! She has done so well but the stitches have been giving her grief and poking her when she moves certain ways so she is excited to get them out!

We arrived at 7:45 but there was a delay in the first surgery of the day and her OR wasn’t available for a while so they didn’t roll her back until 11:30. She is so tough and silly. She was of course hungry and thirsty but she never fussed. She made a game of it and kept looking for things that weren’t food but looked like food to her in books and in the room. She said the rainbow on the wall looked like cotton candy and the cloud was a muffin! She laughed and laughed.

We had a good time together. Reading books, playing with polly pocket and her backward foot baby doll And being silly on FaceTime with beothers and sisters.

She rolled back smiling all the way! This kid is something else.

Should be one to two hours and we will talk to the doctor and see what they found out.
